Michael Schacke advises local and international companies on commercial and corporate law with a strong focus on corporate transactions (mergers and acquisitions, joint venture agreements, private equity) as well as in other matters concerning the legal design of company structures. Creativity and several decades of experience in drafting and negotiating contracts with a focus on the economic purpose and success brand his work.
His self-image includes pro bono activity. Michael Schacke is for more than 10 years board member of the G.D. Baedeker Stiftung, a non-profit organization supporting the development of art and culture in Essen.
After being educated as a banker, Michael Schacke studied at the Westphalian Wilhelms University of Münster where he also worked as a scientific research assistant in a civil and corporate law work group, focussing on energy law and antitrust law. After starting his carrier at Kümmerlein Michael Schacke worked and studied during a six month secondment in Washington DC, USA. His stay served as a basis for his long standing and close contacts to the Anglo-American market.
